CEDEJ Khartoum (Centre d’études et de documentation économiques, juridiques et sociales in Soudan) conducts research on contemporary Sudan and fosters collaboration between Sudanese and international scholars across disciplines. Established in Sudan in the 1990s and temporarily relocated to CEDEJ Cairo since December 2023 following the outbreak of war, the centre supports and disseminates research, promotes academic cooperation in and on Sudan, and trains early-career researchers. CEDEJ Khartoum operates under the joint supervision of the French ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires Étrangères (MEAE) and the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS), and is part of the UMIFRE network.
