Metropolisation and in between Spaces in the Greater Khartoum
The Cedej – Khartoum has developed a research program in partnership with the University of Khartoum and the University Paris 8 with the support of the AUF (Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie). The project started in march 2015.
This research project aimed to analyze the stakeholder’s plays and the power relations revolving around the rural-urban linkages inside the Greater Khartoum conurbation. The diversity of those peripheral areas under permanent recharacterizations was the starting point of this project.
The program supervisors were: Dr Alice Franck (CEDEJ Khartoum, University Paris 1), Dr Munzul Assal (University of Khartoum), Dr Barbara Casciarri (University Paris 8)
