Climate Change and Resilience in Sudan
Our next seminar will be held on Wednesday, February 23 at 11 a.m. Dr. Joshka Wessels, Associate Professor from Malmö University, who is currently visiting Khartoum, will give a seminar on climate change and resilience in Sudan.
Joshka is an environmental filmmaker, geographer and visual anthropologist and has visited Sudan since 1995, both as researcher and environmental filmmaker. She will present her work on environmental and climate change issues in Sudan. Among others her latest research on resilience and social cohesion, focusing for example on the role of nafir in times of extreme weather and climate change events in Sudan, such as floods and droughts.
