Workshop /The brick kilns in Khartoum as contested urban environments : Accessing, analyzing and crossing written sources.
The next workshop of our series “research questions and methods in social sciences” will take place next Tuesday 5 April at 11:00 am.
It is our pleasure to welcome Corten Pérez-Houis for his presentation on the brick kilns in Khartoum as contested urban environments.
Corten Pérez-Houis is a Phd candidate in Geography at Paris 1 University and he is studying since 2020 the urban transformations of Khartoum and Cairo through the building materials these capitals are made of. In Khartoum, he is more specifically focusing on the red brick supply chain, going from its production on the banks of the Nile to its use in construction by way of its marketing.
