Abstract:

The years 2019-2024 witnessed a significant influx of migrants and displaced people from Sudan to Egypt. Prior to the outbreak of war on 15 April 2023, many of these migrants were young Sudanese families and individuals who were relatively well-off. A combination of determinant, push and pull factors, along with other influences, led them to Egypt, particularly to the large cities of Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, and Aswan.
